FASTPITCH DYNAMICS, LLC
George J. Perlotto
I've been involved and engaged in fast pitch softball for most of my life, as a pitcher, position player, coach and instructor. I firmly believe that my collective experience and expertise in the sport offer young pitchers a unique and comprehensive approach to pitching.
FASTPITCH DYNAMICS SOFTBALL PITCHING SCHOOL
After retiring from the men fastpitch game in 1993, I began pitching instruction in the girls’ game in 2001 at various clinics in the Connecticut area. In 2004, I began giving pitching lessons out of my home in Windsor, CT and only had 5 students. In January 2005, I moved to Granby, CT formed “Fastpitch Dynamics, LLC” and constructed a new training facility where I presently give private pitching lessons. In my opinion, there is no need to reinvent the wheel concerning softball pitching. The methods that I use combine new techniques with old school fundamentals that have endured the test of time for over 50 years.
Fastpitch Dynamics started out as a hobby in 2004 and quickly turned into a small business. The pitching school now averages 25-30 pitching students per year from the ages of 10 -18. The school attracts students from all areas of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, Maine, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The school has only been in full operation since 2006 and in that short 9 year period, my high school students have received 3 “Pitcher of the Year” Awards and over 50 All State Awards. I have had and currently have had 68 students that have pitched or are currently pitching at Division I, Division II and Division III colleges and Universities. Three of my students received All-American honors at Division III and one is a two time winner of the “Honda Sports Award Division III Athlete of the Year”. As an added benefit of the school, I was actively involved with the college recruiting process and actively advocated for them contacting college coaches and helping to secure financial assistance. By the end of 2017 my students would have received over $6,000,000 in scholarships and/or financial aid from schools such as University of Connecticut, North Carolina State, University of Pittsburg, University of Virginia, Villanova University, Boston University, Yale University, Hofstra University, St. John's University, University of Maine, Byrant University and Quinnipiac University. I have add over 40 pitchers go on to complete at Divison I programs. I am very proud of that continued success.
During the same period I also was engaged in coaching. During 2008, I was an Assistant Coach and Pitching Coach for the 16U CT Mirage Teal during the 2007-2008 season in which the team went 32-13-2 and finished in 16th place at the PONY Nationals. My pitching staff had a combined ERA of 1.42 for the season. During the 2009-2010, I was the pitching and catching coach for the CT Mirage Gold team which 11 players went on to play at the collegiate level and the pitching staff which were also Fastpitch Dynamics students all went on to pitch at Division 1 programs. During the 2013 Season I was recruited to join the coaching staff with Trinity College in Hartford, CT. I am presently a recruiting consultant for several college programs.
I remain committed to training and developing pitchers for the collegiate level providing them the best opportunities possible. From my perspective, playing Fast Pitch Softball has offered me 33 years of immeasurable enjoyment and this is the best way I’ve found to give back to our game.
I played for over 30 years, as both a pitcher and infielder, in the ASA "Major" and "A" divisions of men's fastpitch softball, having pitched at all levels of play including National, Regional and State ASA tournaments. I also played on the All-US Army team for which I received numerous MVP awards. At the age of 40 I posted a 24-3 season record with an ERA of .097, retiring from the game in 1993 with a lifetime pitching record of 379 Wins against 98 Loses and a lifetime batting average of .372. Recently, I was honored to be inducted into the Connecticut ASA/USA Hall of Fame.

I have conducted youth pitching clinics in the Connecticut towns of East Granby, East Hartland, Ellington, Farmington, Granby, Plainville, Somers, Southington, Suffield, Torrington and Vernon, as well as in Phoenix, Arizona. I've also given seminars on the recruiting process at several college showcases. Moreover, in 2012, 2013 and 2014 was invited to the TNT College Showcase "Coach's Clinic" in Quakertown, PA and where I conducted the pitching portion of the clinic.
GOALS AND ACADEMICS STANDARDS
My goal is to have every one of my students pitch at the collegiate level. I insist that they maintain an academic standard of Honors or High Honors in order to remain in my program.
For over 15 years years I've attended countless college showcases thoughout the US and also been attending the USF College Tournaments in Clearwater, FLA during the Spring season for the past 10 years at which I have met and spoken with literally hundreds of coaches. I have a working relationship with many of them that affords my students optimal exposure during the recruiting process.
